# Lumby

> Lumby is a construction materials marketplace based in Brooklyn, New York. It connects contractors and construction companies with verified local lumber yards and building supply suppliers. Contractors send one request for quote (RFQ) to several suppliers, compare line-item quotes, award the job, pay, and track the delivery in one place.

Lumby has two kinds of customers: contractors (solo contractors and construction companies with teams) and suppliers (lumber yards and building supply yards). Suppliers are approved by the Lumby team before they go live.

## What contractors can do

- Build a material list, or upload plan PDFs and get an AI-assisted material takeoff in seconds.
- Send one RFQ to the nearby suppliers they choose and receive line-item quotes.
- Message a supplier once they have sent that supplier an RFQ (no cold outreach).
- Compare quotes, award in one click, pay by card or bank account through Stripe (right away, or on COD or Net 15/30/45/60 terms when the supplier offers them), and track the delivery.
- Invite estimators and crew members on the Team plan.

## What suppliers can do

- Receive RFQs from contractors inside the service radius they set.
- Send line-item quotes, manage awards, schedule deliveries, and get paid directly to their bank account through Stripe Connect.

## Plans and pricing

- Every contractor picks a plan at sign-up and starts with a 30-day free trial. A payment method is required; nothing is charged until the trial ends.
- Pro: $39/month. Unlimited active projects, 5 suppliers per RFQ.
- Estimating: $59/month. Unlimited AI material takeoffs.
- Bundle: $89/month. Pro plus Estimating. The most popular plan.
- Team: $267/month. 4 seats, everything in Bundle, shared projects and centralized billing.
- Enterprise: 10+ seats, priced per company. Contact sales.
- Supplier: $469/month with a 60-day free trial, plus a 0.5% fee on each order paid through Lumby (never on sales tax).
- Annual billing saves 10%. One free trial per account.
- Subscriptions are paid by card and charged when the free trial ends. Net terms apply only to material orders, never to subscriptions.
